RSVP working to help end homelessness in Scott/Carver Counties

Volunteers from the Greater Metro RSVP will be helping to end homelessness in Scott and Carver Counties on Friday, October 28th 2011 when they participate in the 2nd Annual Scott-Carver Project Community Connect (PCC). The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Minnesota School of Business-Shakopee Campus. PCC provides a wide variety of services and hospitality for people struggling to meet basic needs. Based on a national model, this event provides services at one convenient location to those in our community who are homeless or at rish of becoming homeless. Volunteers are a critical component to the success of PCC, helping with set up and clean up, food service, and most critically, acting as guides for individuals and families who come seeking help that day.

Many more volunteers, from ANY county, are needed that day. For more information, or to sign up as a volunteer, please visit or call RSVP at 952-945-4161.
