Deb Bowman, RN, will speak on Alzheimer's Disease and the Caregiver: Managing Difficult Behavior. Learn how to meet the challenges of difficult dementia behaviors with creativity, flexibility, patience and compassion.
We will also have social time so people can meet each other.
We designed these events to support volunteers who do friendly visiting, hospice, respite, driving, meal delivery, and other roles that support older adults. We also welcome people who are caregivers themselves, and anyone who is interested in the topic.

Help the Physical Education Department conduct fitness testing for each student! Volunteer as a recorder at each fitness station setup around the gym. Count and record how many of each fitness activity each student completes.

Boards, Commissions and Advisory Committees
The City of Minneapolis has over 50 volunteer based boards, commissions and advisory committees and appoints over 400 of 600 members to these units. The City actively seeks applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences. The input and advice from these volunteer boards constitutes a major component of the City's community engagement work. Appointments are made twice each year, in the spring and in the fall. (Interim appointments are made on an as needed basis.) Current opening information is available at www.minneapolismn.gov/
